I can't remember the last time I worked on this category! My wtf has given me energy so I thought lets put it somewhere.
I munched on these during my wtf after many batches I finally made baked veggie chips crunchy! The secret is to peel thinly. What I did:
*preheat oven 275
*root veg like sweet potatoes, carrot, beet (yes even beet-yummy!)
*used a peeler
*sprayed a cookie sheet
*in a bowl mixed the peeled veg, 1 T of rice bran oil, cumin, sea salt, pepper
bake for about an hour-delicious and crunchy too!
I planned on starting it tomorrow(Tuesday) seeing I needed to get to the store to get the produce. However when I got home I was motivated to start. Started with a green drink. Not too bad but I don't think I added enough liquid because it was the consistency of applesauce. Debating if I should get the nutribullet, I have a Ninja blender so maybe at the end of this week I will decide.
Okay so my last 30 day wtf (well that failed) didn't fair so well. Clearly my energy is too low to want to be active save for a few times we walk. About 15 years ago I spent an entire year juicing. Not once during that time did I get sick with a cold, the flu or any other ailment that was being passed around at work. I had plenty of energy to get to the gym at 4:30, walk to and from work 2 miles total and work part time on top of my full time job. Granted I'm 15 years older I'm sure I will notice an energy level increase; my hope.
I see it's all the rage now which has me to think this is something I should revisit. Only this time it won't be actual juicing as I no longer have mine, which is fine. Dumping the pulp was difficult for me as I hate to waste even if it was going to composting. I bought the Ninja Blender awhile back and absolutely love it! I will be blending my fruits and veggies this time. Going to try out the first 3 days of the 15 day Reboot with Joe Cross and maybe add some recipes that came with the Ninja. Tomorrow I go produce shopping and will update after the 3 days are up!
